Alocasia ‘Lukiwan’ (a cross between A. sinuata and A. alba) produces compact, stiff leaves with a heavily textured, bullate surface where the tissue between the veins is raised and puckered. The colour is a deep, glossy green, and the leaves are held on short, sturdy petioles close to the base, giving the plant a low, dense form. It stays small and manageable, making it well suited to a terrarium, desk, or shelf. The pronounced texture gives each leaf a three-dimensional, sculptural quality that rewards close inspection.

An incredible hybrid of A.sinuata and A.alba byWawan Santoso, who created this hybrid at the Chong Lee Nursery in Malaysia in the early 2000s.
